DFID SUDAN IS RECRUITING FOR OUR NEW OFFICE IN JUBA DFID is the UK Government department responsible for delivering UK aid around the world. DFID Sudan needs to fill three key support posts based in our new office in Juba, planned to open in July 2010. We are encouraging Sudanese nationals in particular to apply. We will provide a full induction and training programme to all three successful postholders. Please note that the probation period for all three posts will be 3 (three) calendar months. DFID Sudan is currently undertaking a Salary Review that will ensure the salary for these three posts are set at an appropriate level. The working week is 36 hours, Monday to Friday. You will be eligible for cover under DFID Sudan’s generous medical insurance policy, and able to access a wide range of training opportunities. We are looking for an individual experienced in project management to play a key role in managing DFID’s Southern Sudan projects. You will be an integral member of the DFID Sudan Programme team, supporting the Deputy Programme Manager to ensure programmes are delivered in line with DFID best practice and procedures. In order to be eligible for this post, you will have: Extensive project management skills Programme Assistant (Grade C1) We are looking for an individual ideally with some experience of managing projects. You will be an integral member of the DFID Sudan Programme team, playing a key role in assisting in the management of DFID’s Southern Sudan projects, including completion of administrative tasks for the team. In order to be eligible for this post, you will have: Good verbal and written English Administrative Assistant / Driver (Grade C2) We are looking for an individual with good driving knowledge of the Juba and surrounding area, as well as experience of working in an administrative capacity. You will be a key member of the DFID Sudan Corporate Team, in a varied role that includes completion of administrative tasks for the team; spending up to 50% of your time outside the office driving colleagues to meetings; and liaising with local partners and service providers in support of the Corporate Office Manager in delivering services to the Juba office. You will also be required to undertake further driving instruction on appointment to this post.
